Top 10 COVID-19 resources

The team at Startup Canada—like many organizations—has been working to bring together useful resources for entrepreneurs in this difficult time. Based on the sheer volume of information coming out in response to COVID-19, resources accumulate and it can become overwhelming to navigate.

As a result, we’ve decided to release a blog post each week listing the top resources to make it easier for entrepreneurs to find the information and support they need. 

In no particular order, here are this week’s top resources for entrepreneurs in light of COVID-19:

1. Find Funding with Fundica

Fundica is a funding identification and connection platform that provides Canadian business owners and entrepreneurs with a comprehensive and intuitive funding tool. 

If you want to find your ideal funding option to safely navigate through COVID-19, you can use their Funding Infographic—now with instructions for Saskatchewan and BC.

2. League of Innovators: Living Library of Resources for Canadian Startups

League of Innovators has put together a toolkit of resources to help entrepreneurs navigate through COVID-19. This is a living document and will be updated as they gather new resources and information.

3. MaRS: Adapting your outbound and inbound strategy during COVID-19

In collaboration with Sampler, a direct-to-consumer product sampling platform, MaRS has assembled this resource of short Q+A videos to help sales and marketing teams pivot to succeed in light of COVID-19.

4. Government of Canada: Support for your business

This online resource from the Government of Canada is a plug-and-play tool to help businesses find the type of support they need.

5. BetaKit: Canadian VCs Launch Initiative to Provide One-on-One Support to Startups During Pandemic

A group of Canadian venture capital (VC) investors is launching an initiative aimed to support Canadian startups during the COVID-19 pandemic. This article from BetaKit provides details.

6. Future of Good: Five Tips for Hosting Digital Fundraising Events During COVID-19

In this article by Nickie Shobeiry, Future of Good shares insights on hosting digital fundraising events during the pandemic.

7. BDC: How to protect your mental health in a crisis

BDC shares insights from clinical psychologist and CEO/founder of MyWorkplaceHealth Dr. Joti Samra (R.Psych.) who recommends six key practices to help entrepreneurs protect their mental wellbeing in the coronavirus era.
