How do you set goals for your business?
A1 Goals should be linked to your #Vision #Mission and #Values:
1.Start with the desired result
2.Incorporate into #StrategicPlan
3.Allocate appropriate resources
4.Set a timeframe
5.Set #metrics
6.Execute
7.Monitor

A1 – I’m flexible with business goals and unrelenting with personal goals. As long as a business is self-sustaining, I’m fine with not forcing it. Personally, I set a goal, break down the goal into steps and match each step to a simple, realistic process.#StartupChats

A1: I always follow the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-bound) rule when setting goals. You start with small goals before setting a bigger goal for your business. #Startupchats

How do goals and plans differ for entrepreneurs?
A3. The goal is the anticipated result of the plan. They should go hand-in-hand with a strategy #StartupChats

A3 A goal for me is something very tangible – 5 new clients, complete the reinvention course I’m writing, etc. A plan is a bigger picture way of keeping track of what I want to accomplish, with some flourishes thrown in. #StartupChats

What qualities make a thriving entrepreneur?
A7: A thriving entrepreneur is resilient. They understand that everything can and does change in and out of business and aren’t afraid to adapt and pivot accordingly. #StartupChats

A7. I don’t know that there is a stereotypical “thriving”. I think being relaxed and feeling in control should be the objective – it is for me #StartupChats

A7 – If you’re happy and the venture is sustainable, you’re more successful than most and should appreciate the win. When you’re happy and relaxed, it translates to your employees and generally goodwill back to customers. There’s a circle of giving and receiving.#StartupChats
