Startup Canada partners with BMO and AIR MILES for Business to empower Financial Literacy

OCTOBER 19, 2014, OTTAWA |  Over the next two weeks, Startup Canada will partner with BMO and AIR MILES for Business to embark on a three-city tour across Calgary, Toronto and Montreal to run Startup Finance Bootcamps for entrepreneurs.

The fully subscribed Startup Finance Bootcamp’s presented by BMO and AIR MILES for Business will be held on October 21st with Startup Calgary at HeadSpace; on October 23rd at HighlineVC in Toronto; and, on October 28th with Startup Montreal at Notman House.

The events feature keynote lectures, expert-led CPA-certified workshops, speed mentorship on topics from applying for a loan and crowd funding to valuation and early-stage finance. Attendees will receive early access to StartupConnect.ca – Startup Canada’s new website for entrepreneurs to map themselves into their startup community and access support for their startup following the Bootcamp, as well as a copy of the best-selling book ‘Show Me The Money’.

Bootcamp speakers include consultant to CBC’s Dragon’s Den Dr. Sean Wise, investor Stephen King, Startup Coach Davender Gupta, and Chartered Professional Accountants. Entrepreneurs will also gain access to mentors throughout the Bootcamp from BMO, Highline VC, Fundica, INcubes, Real Ventures, Anges Quebec, PwC, and AVAC among others.
