September 7, 2017 | Startup Canada, the national rallying community and voice for Canada’s 2.3 million entrepreneurs, today announced the launch of seven new Startup Communities to join Startup Fredericton.

Startup Fredericton will be welcoming Startup Saint John, Startup Chaleur, Startup Miramichi, Startup Sackville, Startup Moncton, Startup Sussex and Startup St. Stephen into the New Brunswick entrepreneurship community.

“It is great to now be part of Startup Canada! The Moncton community has joined the national network, and this will have a positive impact for our entrepreneurial community in terms of job creation, new idea’s and a common set of goals and values,” said Debbie Collins, Startup Support Plus.

Startup Canada and Opportunities New Brunswick (ONB) are working together to help better advance entrepreneurship in Canada.

“This is another great step in supporting our innovative entrepreneurs in New Brunswick,” said Stephen Lund, CEO of ONB. “Each region in the province has its own unique opportunities and challenges, and these startup communities will empower entrepreneurs to create their own localized strategies and a framework that will best serve them on the road to success.”

Opportunities NB is a Crown corporation that seeks to attract and support opportunities to grow the economy and create jobs. It provides support services for businesses across the province.
