Vancouver, BC – May 14, 2019 | Yesterday, Sappho New Paradigm was named the winner of the Vancouver Canadian Export Challenge Pitch Competition. JoAnn Fowler won $2,500 and a trip to Toronto where they will compete head-to-head against six regional finalists for the grand prize of $25,000 and up to $100,000 in in-kind scaling support.
Vancouver-based company Sappho New Paradigm is a natural and organic cosmetic brand focused on developing a luxury line free of synthetic preservatives known or strongly suspected of being carcinogens. Founded by Emmy nominated makeup artist JoAnn Fowler, and developed with experts in the field of green chemistry, Sappho New Paradigm offers formulations created with the finest of certified organic ingredients and infused with phytonutrients.

Fowler is set to travel to Toronto to represent British Columbia global companies in October during Small Business Week, where they will have the opportunity to pitch to win the grand prize and title as Canada’s 2019 Global Entrepreneur, receiving a host of support and funds.
Follow the Canadian Export Challenge as it makes its other stops in Edmonton, Ottawa, Mississauga, Fredericton and Montreal during the Spring.
