OTTAWA – October 18, 2018 | Earlier this year, Startup Canada and the Embassy of Israel in Canada partnered to search for a young Canadian entrepreneur to represent Canada at this year’s Start JLM Conference in Jerusalem, Israel, from November 11, 2018 to November 17, 2018.
Today, His Excellency Nimrod Barkan, Ambassador of Israel to Canada attended Startup Canada Day on the Hill to announce Isabel Galiana, Co-Founder and CEO of Saccade Analytics, as the 2018 Canadian representative. Isabel will be joining representatives from 30 other countries who will be convening in Israel to participate in a unique accelerator program for new technology companies which will expose participants to the innovative, vibrant hi-tech environment in Israel.
Saccade Analytics began in 2016 with Dr. Mimi Galiana, whose research at McGill University led the field of eye and head movement analysis for over 30 years. She came to understand that although her work had tremendous potential, much more was needed before it would help patients. With this goal, she founded Saccade Analytics and recruited Isabel Galiana to assist in building the business. Since then, Saccade Analytics has grown with the mission to improve the standard of neurological care by translating advanced research into accessible tools.
