Startup Canada and MNP LLP, one of the largest full-service chartered accountancy and business advisory firms in the country, will draw national attention to Canada’s most impactful young entrepreneurs at the second annual Startup Canada Awards this autumn.
The Startup Canada Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognizes entrepreneurs under the age of 25 who have influenced Canadian entrepreneurship through exemplary activities and leadership of their startup companies.
“Millennials are twice as likely as the average Canadian to start a business,” said Victoria Lennox, CEO and co-founder of Startup Canada. “With independence, education, and an innovative nature, their strides today influence the economy of tomorrow.”

The Startup Canada Awards are the hallmark awards celebrating and distinguishing Canada’s entrepreneurship community. 2015 regional award ceremonies will take place during Startup Canada’s #EveryEntrepreneur Tour, a nationwide tour with an unconference-style program that will provide on-site inspiration, mentorship and training to thousands of entrepreneurs and hundreds of community leaders. Through this support, the #EveryEntrepreneur Tour will help sow the seeds for the next generation of anchor companies and startup communities.
