OTTAWA, ON – May 13, 2024. The Startup Canada Board of Directors and Executive team are excited to announce that Jenn Juby will be joining Startup Canada as managing director, effective May 13, 2024. 

Jenn brings decades of team leadership and executive operations experience across global, startup, and private enterprises. She is a founder and leader who scaled her own retail business (acquired) from zero to +$10 million in revenue in sixteen months – all during the COVID-19 pandemic. With lived experience navigating the complexities that Canadian entrepreneurs face, Jenn is dedicated to supporting Canada’s entrepreneurs. 

Prior to joining Startup Canada, Jenn served as the CEO of Innovators & Entrepreneurs Foundation (IEF), a national charity advocating for, supporting, and celebrating Canada’s founders from racialized and equity-deserving groups. She also founded the Women with Influence Network (WWIN), a non-profit mentorship community dedicated to uplifting the lives and work of women at all career levels. Her commitment to supporting entrepreneurs, especially those from underrepresented groups, aligns perfectly with Startup Canada’s mission. Jenn’s leadership style is characterized by her people-first approach, a quality that resonates with Startup Canada’s mission and values.

As we welcome Jenn to our team, we also take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to Kristal Felea for her years of dedication to Startup Canada and the Canadian entrepreneurship community. We wish her every success as she embarks on her own entrepreneurial journey as the owner of two Happy Goat Coffee Co. locations in Ottawa. Kristal’s last day with us will be Friday, May 24, 2024.
