Intuit Supporting the Development of 20 New Startup Canada Communities

OTTAWA, Nov. 26, 2014 – Intuit today expanded its partnership with Startup Canada by supporting the launch and development of 20 grassroots startup communities across Canada. Through Intuit funding, Startup Canada and Intuit will work together with community leaders to ensure they possess the programming, tools, and professional experts required to fuel entrepreneurial success.

“We know Canadian entrepreneurs love meeting up and talking shop, and succeed when they have access to the resources needed to make sound business decisions,” said Rob King, director, small business division, Intuit Canada. “Intuit and Startup Canada are supporting startup communities across Canada provide entrepreneurs with access to these resources, and enable us to further extend our new financial literacy programming into these regions.”

The communities program complements another announcement today, in which Intuit, the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA), and Startup Canada launched a joint financial literacy curriculum, designed specifically for new entrepreneurs and startups.
