The Haudenosaunee (hoe-dee-no-SHOW-nee), the people of the long house, are a confederacy of 6 nation families – the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, and Tuscarora, originating from Turtle Island. Our founder, Ken’niwahkwaritá:a (Bear in the Stars) is Mohawk, Bear Clan and has special memories of drinking strawberry drink as a young cub at Pow Wow’s with his Akenistén:’a (mother) and is excited to share the strawberry teachings with the broader community as a path to overall good living.
