Award-winning serial entrepreneur and producer Komal Minhas named the new host of the THRIVE Podcast for Women Entrepreneurs
March 8, 2019, Ottawa – Startup Canada, Canada’s entrepreneurship organization, in partnership with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and Scotiabank, announced today Komal Minhas, Founder of kaur. space as the new host of THRIVE, Canada’s women’s entrepreneurship podcast. THRIVE supports women entrepreneurs to start and scale their businesses by connecting them with influential experts, resources, and organizations in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
THRIVE launched in 2018 and was previously hosted by Janice McDonald, the president of The Beacon Agency and the author of A Force to Reckon With: Women, Entrepreneurship and Risk, a national study that evaluates women entrepreneurs and their approach to risk.
THRIVE is in its second year after a successful first year where featured guests such as Laura Didyk, Vice President, Alberta South of BDC and Vicki Saunders, Founder and CEO of SheEO took to the platform to share the ways in which they support women entrepreneurs to scale thriving businesses. As the second season unveils, listeners will hear from guests such as Kerlande Mibel, Founder of the International Black Economic Forum; Erin Bury, formerly of 88 Creative and a Top 30 Under 30; and Kylie Woods, the Founder and CEO of Chic Geek YYC.
